The visualizer for my song “It Feels Different” from my EP “Mama,… I Was Really Outside.” This song, like the entire EP, is based on real-life situations I experienced. It captures moments and mindsets I had during that specific time in my life. I’ve long moved past that chapter, grown above and beyond it. Still, I felt the need to share this song in particular—because love, when done the right way, under the right law, and for the right purpose, is something truly beautiful.

The music video for “M8th (outside),” from my EP Mama,… I was really outside, was filmed as part of the CokeSTUDIO Soundcheck competition, where I was a semifinalist. A deeper look into the song and its story “M8th (outside)” is inspired by a real-life experience from 2021. One evening, my friends and I were out together, enjoying ourselves, when we were suddenly attacked by another group who stole our speaker. I was deeply frustrated by our decision not to retaliate, and as I made my way home, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. The urge to fight back was strong, but my mother’s words echoed in my mind: “Stay out of trouble when you’re outside.” This inner struggle became the inspiration behind the song. Reflection on my nature I’ve always been a calm person, avoiding conflict whenever possible. That said, everyone has moments of frustration, where constantly turning the other cheek becomes difficult. This incident was one of those moments for me. It wasn’t about being wild, but about the rare feeling of wanting to stand up and fight back after always staying passive. The video imagines what might have happened if I had fought back, showing me ending up in jail. However, in 2024, my faith in Jesus Christ has freed me from that burden, symbolized by the Bible removing my “handcuffs.” The meaning behind the title The song’s title, “M8th (outside),” also known as “May 8th (outside),” marks a significant date—my first time going outside after the long lockdowns. It wasn’t just any day; it was the birthday of two close friends, a celebration that made the day even more memorable.
